Mackin Rob

“MUSIC MAKE’S ME HIGH”! The shadow of super-stardom can be a very dark place, but for Lil Scrappy’s protégé, MACKIN’ ROB aka ROB KUSH it’s a prime position of power. He began his path to stardom by becoming Lil Scrappy’s road manager for his independent record label G$UP ENT in which he has strategically built his career so that he can literally stand on his merit as an artist and a businessman. Look forward to seeing and hearing great things about Mackin’ Rob in the future. As a member of Big Kuntry King’s record label Bread Box Muzic as a recording artist Mackin’ Rob is set to release his debut album entitled “TRAP ARTIST” in fall 2011. Thanks to his alliance with Big Kuntry, T.I. and Lil Scrappy, who state he is one of the next rising stars to be an integral part of Atlanta’s nationally celebrated trap music scene which is full of Southern spitter’s. Mackin’ Rob has managed to rap for hundreds of hip-hop fans around the world
.
Born in Great Falls Montana, and raised in Portland Oregon by his mother, father living with his younger brother and little sister, while his mom worked several nursing jobs at hospitals and his dad selling cars at Beaverton Toyota and doing night security at Red Lion Hotel. After graduating from high school Rob gravitated to the streets where he got into trouble as a teen and was sentenced to 21 months at Oregon State Correctional Institution (OSCI) at 18 years old. Upon his release Mackin’ Rob discovered his rapping talent harmonizing with some neighborhood friends on the porch. Eventually he enters a talent show in Portland and won first place. By 1995 he was working with a local based record label, Game Related Music in which he recorded and released his first single entitled “Ride Wit Me”
.
After recording music for close to a year and selling CD’s out of the trunk of his car Mackin’ Rob’s career then took a unique turn for the better, he then begin recording music for yet another local based record label entitled Greenleaf Entertainment, in which the group Rose City Playaz Club was formed. The group released a CD in 1997 entitled “The Rose City Playaz Club” volume 1. You know them for the ever so popular single “Colla Poppin” which was featured on that CD. In 2003 Rob graduated from Portland Community College with an Associates of Arts degree in Business Administration. In 2005 Rob then graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing & Advertising. With two degrees under his belt in 2007 Mackin’ Rob set out to release his highly anticipated long awaited double solo albums’ under his new record label UP’NORTH Records/Greenleaf Entertainment “Associates of Arts” & “Bachelor of Science” in which both CD’s were dedicated to the success of him graduating from college. “Who say’s a college graduate can’t become a national rapper and a businessman?” says Rob, who will be an entertainer that will be around for a long time to come and he promises to never to let go.

Unable to ignore his determination to shine, Mackin’ Rob then moved to Atlanta Georgia in 2008 to further his musical career. After releasing a bunch of Mix Tapes in the greater Atlanta area over the past few years, in 2010 he was then signed to (T.I.’s protégé) Big Kuntry King’s record label BreadBox Muzic as a recording artist.
